After completing my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, I immediately started working with children and their families in play-based preschool settings. In 2013, I had the chance to work under the supervision of a Montessori Guide who introduced me to the world of Montessori. The Montessori philosophy and theory of child development resonated with me so much that in 2017, I decided to start training at the AMI Montessori Institute of San Diego. The following year, I completed my master’s degree in Montessori Education from Loyola University Maryland and started working with children at my first Montessori class in Vancouver. Growing up in Manila, Philippines, I consider my move to Canada as one of the biggest adventures of my life. I like to learn new things and speaking Spanish and how to sign (ASL) are on my list. Exploring trails with friends, discovering hole-in-the-wall restaurants, petting and walking dogs, and dancing are few of my favorite things.
